I reimagined my own version of a book cover for the book Women Who Run With The Wolves, which explores the archetype of the wild woman in myths, fairy tales and folklore stories from different cultures.

The guiding intention behind my project was to celebrate the power of femininity in connection with the healing powers of nature. It is this concept that led me to choose this book as the focus of this project.
The Process
I started drafting a few ideas in sketch form and I then picked the composition that best displayed the title and the visual elements in a cohesive way.

Painting with gouache and watercolour is at the heart of all my designs.
It all starts with my sketchbook, and with different colour studies, and when I decide what elements I want to use for my illustration, I sometimes redraw the elements in a bigger composition, or I play around with them creating a collage, until I am happy with the result.
